NICHE Observes International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation

The Women Empowerment Cell of NICHE Kanyakumari marked the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) with a meaningful awareness programme focusing on sex education, women’s health, bodily autonomy, and gender equality.

The session emphasized the serious physical and psychological impact of FGM and highlighted the role of education, dialogue, and collective responsibility in eliminating harmful practices.

Through this initiative, NICHE reaffirmed its strong commitment to women’s rights, dignity, and social responsibility, reinforcing the message of zero tolerance towards FGM.
